Scar Tissue kills it with their first gig at Revolution

With just two rehearsals in one week the band managed to pull off an impressive set this past Saturday at Revolution Bar & Music Hall.

Scar Tissue performing their set @ Revolution Bar & Music Hall - 6/20/19

It's very rare that on the night of a gig everything runs smoothly and goes according to plan. Well, Saturday night was no different for the guys from Scar Tissue. With a scheduled slot of 8PM -- guitarist Jason was informed upon his arrival that the band was actually supposed to start at 7:30PM. YIKES! It was 7:15 and both Larry & Mike were still on the road. Go figure....

“I'm driving and get a text message from Jason at 7:15 saying we're supposed to go on at 7:30. Larry wasn't even there yet either. Got to the place and had to setup and play. Sometimes that's just the way it goes but luckily we were able to nail it.” --- Mike Kennedy

Getting The Job Done

The band opened the set with By The Way and played through other crowd favorites such as Scar Tissue, Around The World and Can't Stop. Everyone in attendance was into it and couldn't help but sing along to the songs they know and love. The performance itself was flawless with Vinny providing the rock solid foundation behind the drums and Larry winning over the crowd with his high energy stage antics. Jason was on point all night with his backing vocals and capped it off with an impressive solo at the end of Dani California. Mike was able to shake off the rust after a long hiatus and nail a killer intro solo to Around The World.

I couldn't believe how many people were getting into our set. We went on early and didn't expect much of a crowd but there were a ton of people out there just totally getting into it. It was so awesome, Revolution was a blast! --- Vinny Guadagno

Overall the night proved to be a success and gave the guys some reassurance that they are on the right track. Stay tuned!
